How To Apply

The applicant has to apply in a standard Application form available in Registration of Births and Deaths Section of Margao Municipal Council.

Documents required

  1. Joint Affidavit of the parents stating that they have arrived in India/Goa for permanent settlement.
  2. Residence Certificate of parents in original.
  3. Residence Certificate of child. (If major).
  4. Certificate of birth of child issued by Indian Embassy. (Attested)
  5. Parents Passport copy with arrival date. (Attested)
  6. Passport of the child with arrival date. (Attested)
  7. Certificate of Birth/Baptism of the child. (Self attested)
  8. Civil marriage certificate of the parents. (Self attested)

Process

Under normal procedure, the applicant has to apply within 60 days from the date of arrival in India. After 60 days from the date of arrival in India the process of late registration will follow.
